ORANGE PEKOE TEA · BLACK TEA GRADE
Orange Pekoe Tea
Orange Pekoe is a grade of black tea rather than a specific flavour - it refers to whole leaf tea of a certain size and quality, typically harvested from the top two leaves and bud of the tea plant. Despite the name there is no orange or citrus flavour involved. In Canada and parts of the Caribbean, Orange Pekoe is used as a general term for everyday black tea - smooth, medium-strength, clean in the cup, and best taken with milk. It's the style that King Cole and Morse's Tea have built their reputations on for generations.King Cole, Scotch & Abram's Tea Co. and Morse's are the most popular Orange Pekoe teas in the range.
