DARJEELING TEA · WEST BENGAL, INDIA
Darjeeling Tea
Darjeeling tea is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas in West Bengal, India and is widely regarded as one of the finest black teas in the world. Light, floral, and delicate with distinctive muscatel notes - it's a very different cup from the bold, malty character of Assam or a breakfast blend. Most Darjeeling is best drunk without milk to let the floral character come through. First flush, harvested in spring, is the lightest and most delicate. Second flush, harvested in summer, is darker and more full-bodied and the most widely available.Twinings and Taylors of Harrogate are among the most popular Darjeeling teas and loose leaf blends in the range.
