Tick Tock is a fourth generation family business with roots going back to 1903, when the family first perfected the craft of curing rooibos using traditional tea making techniques. Green Rooibos is a different product from the standard red rooibos - where red rooibos is fermented and oxidised to develop its rich, warm character, green rooibos is dried immediately after harvesting to stop the oxidisation process entirely. The result is a lighter, fresher cup that retains the natural green colour of the plant and a character closer to a delicate green tea than the familiar red rooibos.
Light, refreshing, and gently sweet with no bitterness whatsoever - rooibos from a different plant to black tea means it never goes bitter regardless of how long you steep it. Naturally caffeine free. Best drunk without milk to appreciate the delicate, fresh character - the only Tick Tock rooibos that is specifically recommended without.
