Taylors of Harrogate has been blending tea in Yorkshire since 1886 and remains an independent family company to this day. Yorkshire Tea for Hard Water exists because water matters as much as tea. Hard water - found predominantly in the east and south of England - is filtered through limestone and chalk, picking up calcium and minerals that cause polyphenols in tea to react, creating a darker, thicker cup and sometimes the thin layer of residue that forms on top. This blend is specifically designed to work with that mineral content rather than against it. Taylors even have hard and soft water taps in their tea tasting room to blend and test for both. Rainforest Alliance certified. Carbon neutral certified.
Bold, malty, and full-bodied with a smooth finish - the same character you'd expect from Yorkshire Tea, but specifically engineered to taste right in hard water areas. If you live in the south or east of England, this is the one to use. If your kettle furs up regularly, this is for you.
