Scottish Blend was launched in 1990 by Brooke Bond as the first tea specifically blended for the softness of Scotland's water - a genuinely different approach to blending that produces a different result in the cup. Now part of the Unilever family, the blend has barely changed since launch and remains Scotland's second favourite tea brand. Sourced primarily from Unilever's own tea estates in Kenya and Tanzania.
Medium bodied, malty, and confident without being aggressive. The soft water blending gives it a cleaner, more balanced cup than you'd get from a standard everyday blend brewed in the same water. Holds up well to milk and remains unbitter even with a long steep - the CTC grade leaves infuse quickly and consistently. The kind of tea that has been drunk in Scottish homes every morning for over 30 years.
