Ridgways has been blending tea since 1836, when Thomas Ridgway opened his first shop on King William Street in London. By 1876 Queen Victoria had requested a personal blend, and in 1886 the brand received a Royal Warrant - one of the earliest tea companies to hold one. Their English Breakfast is a 100% Fairtrade blend of Assam, Ceylon, and selected African teas, made in England under the care of a master tea blender.
Powerful, full-bodied, and warming with a rich malty character. The Assam brings strength and depth, the Ceylon adds brightness, and the African teas give it colour and a lively finish. Strong enough to hold up to milk completely without losing character. Individually wrapped string and tag teabags.
If you enjoy Ridgways English Breakfast, our Scotch and Abram's English Breakfast is our take on that same full-bodied, classic character - Assam and Ceylon blended for a satisfying, brisk cup.
