Miles Tea has been blending on the edge of Exmoor in Somerset since 1888 - three generations of family expertise, right on the coastline that gave Smugglers' Gold its name. Back when tea was so heavily taxed it was smuggled ashore under cover of darkness, the South West coast was at the heart of it all. The blend draws on that heritage: Assam and Kenya as the foundation, with Ceylon added for an aromatic, bright character that sets it apart from a standard breakfast tea.
Rich, full-flavoured, and satisfying with a brightness that lifts the cup. The Assam brings body and malt, the Kenyan teas add colour and depth, and the Ceylon keeps it aromatic and refreshing rather than heavy. Strong enough to cut through milk without losing character but not so heavy it weighs the cup down. Works beautifully with milk.
If you enjoy Miles Smugglers' Gold, our Scotch and Abram's Britannia Blend is our take on that same golden, balanced everyday cup - medium bodied, smooth, and easy drinking.
