King Cole Tea has been blended in Sussex, New Brunswick, since 1910, when the Barbour company, a Canadian food wholesaling institution founded in 1867, acquired a small local tea brand and made it the cornerstone of their business. What followed was over a century of growth across Atlantic Canada, where King Cole became a household staple from kitchen tables in New Brunswick to pantries across the Maritime provinces. The tea is named after Old King Cole of nursery rhyme fame, and while the name is cheerful, the brand's credentials are serious: it remains one of the most trusted tea names in Canadian households, blended and packed in New Brunswick to this day.
King Cole's English Breakfast is a well-rounded, medium to full-bodied black tea blend, clean and straightforward with a warm amber colour and a smooth, satisfying character. It takes milk well and holds up without it, making it a genuinely versatile morning cup. Sold in standard teabag format, it is an honest, no-fuss brew that earns its place at the breakfast table.
