Brand History:
Brodie's Tea, Edinburgh Scotland
Brodie's is still a family business with over 130 years experience in the art of blending tea. Brodie's has been importing and blending teas since 1867.
Brodie's teas are blended from the finest leaves carefully selected from tea estates around the world.
Brodie's started in Leith, Scotland where once tea clippers landed their cargoes. In 2002, Brodie's moved to a purpose-built production unit in Musselburgh, Scotland with a state-of-the-art facilities.
The business has seen many changes since 1867 when William Brodie first began, but his passion for quality has endured and as the company has grown and diversified the ideals remain the same - that excellence is only achieved by using the very best ingredients available.
Ok, I'm not the last authority on Scottish Breakfast tea but I have tried a number of them and once on this search keep coming back to it. The latest one to try was Brodie's Scottish Breakfast Loose Tea. I was primed for this as this was a Scottish tea made in Scotland! I particularly like the malty peat flavor of the Scottish tea. So what happened here? Well, the malty peat flavor was almost non-existent, or let's say mild. Not what I expected from a Scottish Breakfast tea. The search remains for the perfect Scottish Breakfast tea!
This tea was beautiful, aroma and flavor!
Not as strong but still good.
Strong and balanced. Not overwhelmingly malty for my taste.
I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING THESE TEAS SINCE MY MOTHER BROUGHT A TIN HOME FROM A TRIP TO SCOTLAND 18 YEARS AGO AND I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE KEEPING THEM IN STOCK. AGAIN THANK YOU
