Barry's Tea has been blending in Cork since 1901, and their Decaf is built on the same recipe as Gold Blend, the most popular tea in Ireland. Same leaves, same blend. Less than 0.2% caffeine.
If you want a proper Irish cup after dinner or before bed, this is the one. The flavor holds up in a way most decafs don't. Full-bodied, malty, golden. You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.
The leaves are sourced from Rwanda, Kenya, and Assam, the same origins as Gold Blend, which is why the taste carries over so well. The decaffeination uses a methylene chloride process that strips the caffeine while keeping the natural oils and flavor intact. Teabags are fully biodegradable.
