Brand History:
Punjana Limited.

A century ago, Punjana Limited, the tea importer and blender, was beginning its life near the docklands in Belfast. Originally founded by McArthur and Willis, the Thompson family made their mark in 1896 when Robert Samuel Thompson became a partner.

Robert Samuel Thompson was joined in the post war years by James and Tony Thompson and today Ross and David Thompson carry on the traditional skill of tea tasting and blending in much the same way as has been done since the company was founded.

Robert Samuel Thompson originally entered the tea trade in 1887, and studied the art of tea tasting. He soon was made a partner in McArthur and Willis from 1896. He became known for his uncompromising devotion to quality and led the company for 51 years.

As the 20th Century progressed, the connection with the Thompson family was strengthened and in post-war years, James and Tony Thompson became partners in the company. They were responsible for the birth of the Punjana brand and developed it until they retired in the late 1980´s.

The joint managing directors of Punjana Limited, today carry on the traditional job of tea tasting and selecting the company´s teas, in much the same way as has been done since the company was founded in 1896.

    Not a good product

Tried this tea a number of time. Poor quality. You should refund price or send another tea: Punjana Original, Scottish, or Irish.

I like a rather strong, black tea. This tea is PERFECT! I love it! I was thrilled to see it available again!

    Sooo good

LOVE this blend. I find the taste to be smooth and rich. When I have to re-order, I choose not to drink tea until I receive my order. I would rather drink water....

    A Great Tea!

Posted by Larry Thompson on Sep 28th 2017

I discovered Thompsonメs Family Teas about a year ago. This is the first time for the Titantic Blend. I really like the teas from Northern Ireland because they uuse a bnd of Kenya Highlands teas, Rwanda teas, and Assam tea from the Himalayas. I really enjoy the African teas, which are extremely hard to get in the USA. I became familiar with them teaching in the DRC Congo and living in South Africa. The blend is really pleasing and a great alternative to traditional English Breakfast Tea.

    A true TITANIC Tea

Posted by MAJ. Jesse Carnes on Mar 22nd 2017

Thompson's of Belfast makes lovely teas, and this TITANIC blend is no exception to that rule. The Tannins are the smoothest of any Cuppa which I have taste-tested. May I add that I am happy that the Thompson family are not parsimonious when it comes to the amount of ASSAM tea which they use as a flavour-base. Highly recommended. .
