Brand History:
Taylors of Harrogate
England
Taylors of Harrogate is now part of Betty & Taylors of Harrogate in Yorkshire, England. Taylors was started by Charles Taylor in 1886 in England and began as CE Taylor & Co. Taylor began his career buying teas that stores could sell as their house brand. Taylor's specialty was creating new blends of tea tailored to each area's unique local water. Charles and his brother Llewellyn Taylor started CE Taylor in Leeds, England as tea and coffee merchants. Taylors has been awarded The Queen's Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development, given only to companies with strong ethical, social and environmental values.
I drink Assam-based breakfast teas, and was looking for something a bit less astringent. This is a great blend—pretty assertive, but never bitter. I think wrapping the bags individually really helps keep the taste fresh.
It wasn't strong enough flavored tea. Peets coffee (California) used to carry the perfect blend and no one has been able to match it. I'm trying other companies to locate that origin.
I had this in a hotel room in Florida once, never forgot it. Found it when I got back home to Houston in Central Market. Years later, I live in a rural town in Central Louisiana (75m northwest of New Orleans.) Good luck finding anything this exotic! Thankfully, TeaDog has it, and it's as good as I remember. Nothing in the US compares to T&H tea, especially this one. There will be more coming to the Casa de Rurale in the months to come. Thank you!!!
A fine tea but not as strong as Scottish tea that designed for it’s water and that is a dandy tea though recently it’s bags seem to have varying amounts of tea in them
First time I ordered but will not be the last time to order this tea. This is my favorite tea. I only drink tea and this has quickly become my favorite. I also like that they are individually wrapped.
