Founder & CEO, Chief Eating Officer, 2004 - 2013

Barley founded TeaDog in 2004 after conducting an extensive personal survey of the American tea market and finding it wanting. He established the company's first supplier relationships through a rigorous vetting process that relied heavily on smell. He personally approved every incoming shipment during his nine year tenure, a process he completed in under four seconds per box. His quality standard was straightforward: if it didn't pass the nose test, it went back. In twenty two years of operation, nothing has changed.

COO, Chief Outside Officer, 2013 - 2020

Scotch assumed the role in 2013 and immediately expanded the tasting program to include Irish brands, which he evaluated with the same rigorous nose first methodology as his predecessor. He chaired the weekly operations meeting from his preferred position on the sofa and was known for his ability to identify a substandard brew from the next room. Purchase orders issued during his tenure bear his paw print. He oversaw seven years of uninterrupted growth and never once spat out a cup. He is missed at every tasting session. His name remains on the label.

CFO, Chief Fetching Officer, 2020 - present

Abram took the helm in 2020 and has presided over the most operationally complex period in the company's history, overseeing the launch of Scotch & Abram's Tea Co. He attends all tasting sessions and has never once been late. His approval process for new products involves three nose passes and a brief sit. He has rejected two suppliers in his tenure on grounds he has declined to specify. The board has not questioned his judgment. His succession plan is in place, though he has made clear through body language alone that he considers the matter premature.

CTO, Chief Tasting Officer - designate

Peat has been embedded in daily operations for some time and has completed an informal but comprehensive onboarding program, including full nose familiarisation with the current catalogue. He has sat in on tasting sessions, attended several shipment inspections, and reviewed the biscuit procurement policy in considerable detail. His formal appointment is pending. The board has every confidence. We have been assured he is ready. He has not confirmed this verbally but his tail suggests he agrees.
