Scottish Blend in a Box of 80 Tea Bags
Scottish Blend Tea is no ordinary tea. Scottish Blend Tea was the first tea to be specially blended to match the softness of Scotland's water. Today, Scottish Blend is Scotland's second favorite tea.

Scottish Blend is Made from Rainforest Alliance Certified Tea Leaves
Scottish Blend is made with 100% tea leaves. The tea leaves used to make it are Rainforest Alliance Certified, which means the makers of the tea have committed to protect the environment, ensure decent working conditions for farm workers and provide access to education and healthcare for the workers and their families.

How to Make Iced Tea with Scottish Blend
Are you an iced tea drinker? If so, here is how you can use Scottish Blend Tea Bags to make an excellent iced tea. Gather the following ingredients:

4 Scottish Blend Tea Bags
2 cups boiled water
3 teaspoons of lemon juice
2 cups cold water
sweeten to taste
ice cubes
lemon slices and mint

Then, boil 2 cups of water and place in 4 teabags. Steep for 3-4 minutes and then remove tea bags. Pour tea in pitcher and cool. Add sweetener and 3 teaspoons lemon juice. Stir to dissolve. Add 2 cups cold water. Chill. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.

Scottish Blend Pyramid Shape Tea Bags
Scottish Blend Tea comes in the famous pyramid-shaped tea bags. Officially, the pyramid tea bags are officially known as Freeflow pyramid tea bags. In 1999, Scottish Blend switched to the pyramid tea bag. Pyramid tea bags act as small teapots and allow the tea leaves to move more freely, producing a better tasting tea. Pyramid tea bags allow 50% more room for the tea leaves to move. More room for the tea leaves results in a better infusion and a superior cup of tea.

Unilever (corporate owners of Scottish Blend) are credited with inventing the pyramid tea bag. In 1996, Unilever first introduced the pyramid tea bag with PG Tips tea. It took over 4 years to invent the pyramid tea bag. The pyramid bags are made of webbed fibers, which means the water can reach the tea leave quicker.

Classic Scottish Blend Commercials
Scottish Blend aired a series of classic television commercials in a series called Fiona's Cafe. The series featured actress Aline Mowat. Here is one such commercial about early morning workers.

Ingredients:
Tea Leaves.

Brand History:
Scottish Blend Tea

Scottish Blend tea is produced by Unilever UK.

Created in 1990, Scottish Blend is Scotland's 2nd favorite brand of tea. Brooke Bond launched the first specially blended tea for Scotland. Supported by television advertising, its popularity grew steadily. By 1998 Scottish Blend had become Scotland's number 2 brand of tea. Its success was bolstered by the 'Fiona's Café' TV ad campaign which started in 1996 and still runs today.

In 1999 a tea revolution hit Scotland and Scottish Blend launched Pyramid bags – a design that gives the tea leaves more room to infuse so it can deliver a more fulsome flavour. In 2003, new ‘Freeflow’ fabric, which has a unique 'webbed' non-perforated design for the ultimate cup of tea, was introduced.

    Scottish Blend tea

Posted by Robert woods on May 28th 2018

I have been drinking Scottish blend tea for over 15 years.
I use to import it from Canada when I made trips there.
Love it because it is the only tea I have ever tried that tastes great and does not turn bitter when left in the tea pot all day.
It is really convenient that I now have access to it on Tea Dog.
I have found it to make a great Christmas gift to friends.
Thank you for the great service.
    Bob.

    Best Tea Blend Available

Posted by Skegemog Boy on Nov 20th 2017

My wife was the daughter of a native Scot and an ardent tea drinker. We have many teas in our home, but this is by far the best. When ever we serve it to guests it draws rave reviews. It has a wonderful full body without being bitter or overpowering. My daughter has followed in her mothers ways and always has it on her Christmas list.

    Centreville Must Have the Water...

Posted by D James on Jun 3rd 2016

The tea box says that Scottish Blend was blended for Scottish water. Well, Centreville, VA, must have some Scottish water because the flavor is superb. Definitely one to share with guests, and as an option for your next high tea.

My wife is Scottish and this is the tea she grew up on. Unfortunately, finding it in the US can be difficult. teadog.com had the best deal online. Our order arrived quickly and exactly as expected.

Would not try with tap water

Posted by rachel m bell on Jul 22nd 2013

I initially tried the tea with tap water here in the states and did not like it then I read the box where it is recommended to use with Scottish mountain waters...well I could not get that so I decided to try with spring water and purified water(the best)...the later giving it the best taste and overall better enjoyment of its quality
