Whittard English Breakfast Loose Tea in a 3.5 Ounce Package
Strong and traditional are good words to describe Whittard's version of a traditional English Breakfast Tea. To make this tea, Whittard blends tea leaves from Assam, Ceylon and Kenya. Whittard starts in India and uses Assam Tea for its strength. Next, moving to Sri Lanka, Ceylon tea is added for depth. Then, stopping in Africa, Kenyan Tea is added for its rich color.
Blending tea from these places results in a smooth version of English Breakfast. The tea also has depth and a rich flavor. Although it says Breakfast, this tea can be enjoyed any time of day.
Whittard of Chelsea English Breakfast is a winner at the Great Taste Awards. Known as the Food Oscars, the tea won a Gold Medal at the 2014 Great Taste Awards.
To make the perfect cup of Whittard English Breakfast, allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. As with most black teas, you can add a sweetener (sugar, honey, etc) and milk if you prefer.
Tea from India (Assam), Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and Africa (Kenya).

I loved Whittard tea but haven't had any for awhile. Happy to find a source.
For my tastes, this is the best English Breakfast I've ever had. It is everything I like: smooth and flavorful without maltiness or woody undertones. I really think it's worth a try. It's one of the best packaged teas I've ever tried.
I have been buying this tea for years from Whittards in England. I love it. Nice to be able to buy it here and save on the shipping from overseas.
I originally got this tea as part of a gift set when my daughter went to London. When I ran out, I had to track it down. It is complex, but not overpowering and not too subtle. No comparison to grocery store mass market brands (except perhaps Stash, and this is much better) in the US. Great tea!
