Scottish Blend loose tea in an 8.8 ounce box. Scottish Blend Tea is no ordinary tea. Scottish Blend Tea was the first tea to be specially blended to match the softness of Scotland's water. Today, Scottish Blend is Scotland's second favorite tea.

Ingredients:
Tea leaves

Brand History:
Scottish Blend
United Kingdom

Scottish Blend tea is produced by Unilever UK.

Created in 1990, Scottish Blend is Scotland's 2nd favorite brand of tea. Brooke Bond launched the first specially blended tea for Scotland. Supported by television advertising, its popularity grew steadily. By 1998 Scottish Blend had become Scotland's number 2 brand of tea. Its success was bolstered by the 'Fiona's Café' TV ad campaign which started in 1996 and still runs today.

In 1999 a tea revolution hit Scotland and Scottish Blend launched Pyramid bags – a design that gives the tea leaves more room to infuse so it can deliver a more fulsome flavour. In 2003, new ‘Freeflow’ fabric, which has a unique 'webbed' non-perforated design for the ultimate cup of tea, was introduced.

    a solid cup of tea!

Posted by Linda on Jan 26th 2017

My husband and I prefer a "stronger" tea... one that holds up well to milk, and this tea is perfect.
Just be sure not to "over-steep". I find 2 or 3 minutes is time enough for a full-bodied cup.

    Deeeelish

Great flavor! We have purchased the Scottish Blend tea in bags several times in the past, and I ordered the loose tea by accident, but soon discovered that we prefer it that way. No need to strain the tea, as it settles almost immediately in the cup/pot.

    Assam.

This is a finely chopped tea, tiny pieces. Tastes like Assam tea. Sort of thick flavor, not very bitter. Best with milk. Very similar to Brodie's Edinburgh.

    Scottish Blend has changed

Posted by Winifred on Nov 12th 2013

The last repeat order of Scottish Blend loose tea(last March 2013) was just not as good as previous orders. Lots more tea "dust" sifting through even my fine strainer, and the taste was more bitter than hearty. Have they changed providers or something. I have loved the stuff up to now!

This is a strong, clear, fresh, bright tea that also makes great iced tea.

A great-tasting tea. Much stronger than bagged tea.

    Wonderful Tea!

This reminds of long lunches in Scottish tea salons -- the tea is not bitter, truly wonderful! I am so glad that it is now available in a loose version. Thank you!
