Brand History:
Namabarrie Tea

One of Ireland's and Scotland's most popular teas is unfamiliar to most tea drinkers. Began in Belfast in 1860, Nambarrie is Northern Ireland's oldest tea company. Nambarrie started with a different name. The tea company was first known as Pratt & Montgomery.

Nambarrie has several facilities in Northern Ireland and Scotland, including Mallusk, Co. Antrim and Glasgow. Nambarrie Tea Company Limited now manufactures and distributes a range of top quality teas through Northern Ireland and Scotland. The company's flagship brand, Nambarrie, is one of Northern Ireland's favorite teas and the third biggest brand in Scotland.

Nambarrie has been a top performing brand from its introduction more than fifty years ago. Since then, the quality of the blend has been sacrosanct while all aspects of the marketing of Nambarrie have regularly been updated. The brand has been built and refreshed with packaging updates, extensive advertising and a range of promotional offers. Its distinctive red and yellow color combination has received many updates the most recent being the stylish new flip top box launched earlier this year.

Delightfully Strong

After visiting family in Norther Ireland, I have come to love the teas there, especially Golden Namosa which is hard to get in the USA. So, I tried Nambarrie and have enjoyed the deep tea flavor.

Nambarrie is smooth and strong. It is so enjoyable to sip in the morning but also a nice way to end the day. I’m glad I gave Nambarrie tea a try. I will continue to sip this delicious tea for quite a while.

The best.

Although the tea is very expensive & more than I would like to pay, it is delicious & I am enjoying it.

Strong and flavorful

Nambarrie has good taste, very refreshing and strong. On the other hand, it's not too strong, not bitter, and in my hard-water area requires only a drop or two of lemon.

Namabarrie vs Bewley's

Namabarrie is OK but I much prefer Bewley's which was out of stock when I went to Teadog. Unfortunately I was out of Bewley's and opted for Namabarrie the other Irish tea. I prefer a stronger tea. Namabarrie isn't bad, it just doesn't suit my taste. I'll try double bagging until Bewley's is back in stock.
