Brand History:
Lifeboat Tea is produced by Williamson Tea of England.  Williamson Tea is a special name among tea connoisseurs. As one of the world's few private tea producing companies, Williamson Tea occupies an unique position in growing, producing, marketing, and selling fine teas.

Williamson Tea has been growing and selling quality tea since 1869 when Captain J H Williamson, who was involved in the management of tea estates in Assam, met R B Magor, an assistant with the Great Eastern Hotel in Calcutta.

I truly enjoy Lifeboat tea! It is great first thing in the morning as well as in the afternoon when I need a pick-me-up. Plus, I love that it supports the RNLI.

    Lifeboat tea for a lifetime

Posted by Lark on Nov 20th 2017

Lifeboat tea is not only the taste of a lifetime, but also the proceeds of which are donated for a worthy cause. It has been a choice of mine for a very long time for a very enjoyable taste, whether it is daily until all the tea bags are gone, or periodically for the yen and Zen of it. I mean to have this tea in my selections whenever it is available. Certainly recommend it for everyone!

I love Lifeboat Tea, but I love the service that I receive from Teadog. I ordered the tea and the same day the tea was on it's way. Can't get any better than that.

    A long-lost treat

If you like your tea strong enough to take the enamel off of your teeth, this is the tea for you. If not, go get an herbal concoction.

    Best Teabag Tea Ever!

Posted by Barb Wray on Aug 27th 2014

Although I primarily brew loose tea, there are times when a teabag is so handy. I have tried many and found a few that made a decent cup and thought I was happy. Then a friend picked up a box of Williamson Lifeboat Tea and I was amazed at how good a cup of tea from a bag could taste. She gave me the rest of the box and when I ran out I was so pleased to find that Tea Dog carries it. When your brewing supplies need to be portable, Lifeboat literally comes to the rescue. Simply a very good cup of tea!

I love this tea. It's a wonderful stout tea to jump start the day and perfect on cold wintry afternoons with milk and sugar, of course!
