Description Brand History

The essence of Ceylon, a strong tea with a gentleness that is bordered by a firm character. Deep, reddish brown liquor. An ideal accompaniment to strong tasting food.

Delicious tea from Ceylons well renowned growing regions of Dimbulla and Uva. A creation of British farmers who pioneered the tea industry in the days of the British Raj. Rich, full bodied, flavorsome.

Single Origin 100% Pure Ceylon
Dilmah is entirely grown, handpicked and packaged in Ceylon (Sri Lanka), producer of the world's finest tea. Single origin explains why Dilmah s fresher, richer and full of flavor. Discerning tea drinkers will recognize the distinct difference in the very first sip.

Packaged at the Source, Garden Fresh and All Natural
Packaged in Sri Lanka within days of picking fresh leaf in the tea fields, maximizes freshness, the key to antioxidants in tea.

Traditionally Manufactured
Ordinary teas have abandoned the centuries old "orthodox" method or manufacturing for the fast track CTC (cut twist curl) method to meet demand for a quicker brew from tea bags. This sacrifices the character and real taste of tea. Dilmah stands firmly by traditional tea making methods, which explains why Dilmah tea tastes different.

Good morning start September 25, 2013

Dilmah is a fine breakfast tea.  Smoother and a bit more flowery than others.  I like to rotate it with others that are more intense.

Flowery tea June 15, 2013
Reviewer: lynn fletcher from wana, WV United States
This is a very flowery tasting tea, but also very strong. I brewed it my usual way and it was not drinkable, being so bitter and tannic! So I brewed a new pot, using half the amount of tea I normally use, timed it for 3 minutes, and had a wonderful tea! Just be careful with it. No amount of milk or watering down could save the first pot.

Dilmah English Breakfast Tea November 20, 2012
Reviewer: WeeSuzie from Stony Point, NC United States
I have looked for years for an Engish Breakfast Tea that could come close to the English Breakfast loose tea that I bought in downtown Chicago at a store called Stop and Shop in the last 60's.  This tea so impressed me in depth of flavor.  Would highly recommend this tea for those who love loose tea.
